Placement and Learning Acess Network (PLAN)
What is PLAN?
PLAN is the Placement and Learning Acess Network - part of the ECB and PCA's commitment to providing support programmes to cricketers with the objective of making them more successful on and off the field.
The programme encourages an integrated approach to sporting success and an easier transition to life after sport. It assists professional cricketers in developing work-related skills while allowing them to achieve their sporting goals. It also provides a unique link between cricket and the corporate sector. The aim
The underpinning aim of the service is to balance the needs of the employer with those of the cricketer, who is preparing for a career shift. This may allow some flexibility for the cricketer in order to meet their personal and sporting goals, but also looks to match the employer's aspirations.
Why a cricketer?
Cricket not only requires quality physical and mental preparedness to be the best but it also enhances the key skills that employers look to in their staff.
Cricketers have the necessary organisational, interpersonal, communication, creative, cognative and self-management skills that can be transferred into all areas of life, especially business.Additionally, their practical experience in making decisions in pressured situations and reacting to an ever-changing environment that many new recruits will not have experience in.
Benefits to the company
Member companies will be able to access a unique group of suitably qualified and highly motivated cricketers, who aspire to achieve success in all areas of their lives.

'Placement-ready' cricketers who achieve the relevant professional employment standards. Cricketers with determination and enthusiasm who can inspire other employees. Be part of an exclusive group of companies suppporting cricketers in their quest for international honours. The opportunity to network with other PLAN companies.
