The ECB's Safe Hands – Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children is available for you to download here in full on ecb.co.uk.

The October 2007 version of Safe Hands was updated slightly with amendments made to a few of its pages which are dated November 2008 and December 2009. Please note that the whole folder will not be re-dated, merely the sections that were updated.

The Policy is divided into three Sections. For ease of downloading, Sections One and Two are combined and then section Three is separate and also available in two formats.

Section Three of the manual is a 'Kit Bag' of useful guidance and sample documents for clubs and other to use. It is possible to either download all of Section Three or download an individual item from the 'Kit Bag'.

NOTE ON RECENT AMENDMENTS – DECEMBER 2009
Following recent letter sent out to all owners of Safe Hands that we had on record based on attendance sheets received from Time to Listen courses, there have been changes to some ECB directives and guidance and other aspects of safeguarding best practice:

• Kit Bag 11 – ECB ‘Non-UK vetting form’ [Changes: New name, slight format changes]

• Kit Bag 16 - ECB Fast Bowling Directives [Changes: amendment to overs that can be bowled, now signed off by Mike Gatting]

• Kit Bag 17 - ECB Guidance for Selection of Young Players in Open Age Group Cricket[Changes: now a combined document of KB17 & 18, with new name: ‘ECB Guidelines for Junior Players in Open Age Cricket]

• Kit Bag 18 - ECB Guidance on Junior Cricketers playing in Open Age Group Cricket [Changes: KB18 no longer exists and is referred to KB 17 as they have now been merged into a combined document]

• Kit Bag 29 - ECB Photography and Video Camera Guidelines [Changes: Storing of video material, informing the other side if no consent]
