Suffolk Sport - Cricket Projects Officer
Suffolk Sport, the County Sports Partnership, aims to make Suffolk a successful and physically active sporting county through the provision of high quality opportunities for everyone.
Working in partnership with Suffolk Cricket Board we are seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and committed individual to become part of the Suffolk Sport Team and contribute to the achievement of key objectives for Cricket in Suffolk.
The post holder will work under the guidance and supervision of the Suffolk Cricket Development Manager.
Cricket Projects Officer
Salary up to £18,430 pa pro rata (Pay Award and Job Evaluation pending)
30 hours per week - Fixed term contract to 31 March 2009
This post is hosted by Waveney District Council on behalf of Suffolk Sport.
You will manage the delivery of a number of cricket projects involving a range of partners including Suffolk Cricket Board, Suffolk Sport, cricket clubs and schools to increase participation and performance in cricket across Suffolk.
You will support the development of players through the player pathway for cricket in Suffolk consisting of activity at school, club, district and county levels. You will have a broad knowledge of club development in cricket. Also important is the ability to manage projects including budgets and experience of working with young people.
You will have excellent communication, motivation and organisational skills to gain the support of a range of individuals and organisations.
Although employed by Waveney District Council, the post will be based at the Suffolk Cricket Board Office in Worlingworth and will involve travel across the county.
