Aslam ton sees off Bangladesh
Pakistan Under-19s moved two points clear at the top of the Tri-Series table after Sami Aslam's century underpinned a convincing victory over their Bangladeshi counterparts at Market Harborough.
The captain's unbeaten 120 ensured Pakistan, who elected to field, comfortably surpassed Bangladesh's total of 192 with more than five overs unused.
Pakistan were rarely troubled in their chase, with the opening partnership worth 107 when Imran Butt was run out for 34.
Mehedy Hasan ousted Imam-ul-Haq for 13 but Hussain Talat stuck around until the end, offering support for his skipper who hit 17 fours and a six.
Zia-ul-Haq claimed three scalps in the Bangladesh innings, which featured 50 from wicketkeeper Jashimuddin and 46 from opener Sadman Islam.
The two sides will square off again on Sunday, with England Under-19s next in action on Monday against Bangladesh at Grace Road.
