Moore sets up Lancashire win
Stephen Moore struck a half-century as Lancashire Lightning eased to a over Bangladesh A at Emirates Old Trafford.
The opener made 61 from 63 balls before being run out, but he had already given the hosts a platform to go on and comfortably chase down 171 all out with 101 balls to spare.
Bangladesh were looking for a first win of their tour after narrow defeats to Hampshire Royals and Yorkshire Vikings but, after winning the toss and choosing to bat, they were reduced to 31 for three in the 10th over.
Shamsur Rahman and Naeem Islam both recorded fifties and put on a partnership of 85, but after the former was caught behind off Arron Lilley - who ended with figures of 3-24 - it sparked a collapse that saw the remaining six wickets fall for 55 runs.
When Moore departed during Lancashire’s chase they were well set on 97 for two in the 18th over and, despite Steven Croft falling to Elias Sunny 11 runs later, Paul Horton and Andrea Agathangelou added 43 and 25 respectively to secure victory.
Bangladesh A face Notts Outlaws and Worcestershire Royals before their three-match series against England Lions gets under way on August 20.
