Kohli seals series success

A half-century from captain Virat Kohli helped India breeze past Zimbabwe and take an unassailable 3-0 lead in their five-match one-day international series.

Having bowled out the hosts for 183, the target always looked within reach as Kohli's unbeaten 68 helped steer India to a with 14 overs to spare.

Earlier, Zimbabwe's batsmen had struggled to get going, although Hamilton Masakadza and Sean Williams - with 38 and 45 respectively - secured a half-respectable total; spinner Amit Mishra was the chief destroyer, claiming 4-47.

India's reply got off to a nervy start with Rohit Sharma falling to Michael Chinouya for just 14.

But Shikhar Dhawan, who hit 35, and Kohli soon got the runs ticking over with a partnership of 40, which was ended when the former flicked a delivery from Tendai Chatara to Vusi Sibanda at cover.

Kohli was in no mood to give things away, however, and formed productive stands with Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina, who struck 33 and 28 not out respectively, to see India over the line.
