Tom Smith again leads the way in the FTI County MVP standings after becoming the first player to pass 400 points this season.
The all-rounder claimed six wickets and scored 32 runs as Lancashire slipped to a narrow loss against Nottinghamshire in the LV= County Championship.
That encounter also featured Notts’ Samit Patel, who is having another good year as he continues to lead all points-scorers since the MVP’s inception in 2007.
He is third in the rankings this year, a place behind perennial contender Darren Stevens.
Jim Allenby and Jeetan Patel, whose 31 points against Durham saw him make the biggest move of the week, round off the top five.
The FTI MVP is a cumulative points system that rewards players for every run scored, wicket taken and catch held – and how well they do it.
