Jim Allenby has extended his contract with Glamorgan for another four years.
The 30-year-old all-rounder, who had been linked with a move away from the club earlier in the summer, has agreed terms on a deal that will keep him with the county until the end of the 2017 season.
Allenby said: "I am extremely happy to commit the next four years of my playing career to Glamorgan and look forward to working with the playing squad and coaching staff to bring success back to this club."
Glamorgan chief executive Alan Hamer added: "We are delighted to have retained Jim's services for the next four years. He is a key member of our playing squad.
"Today's announcement re-affirms the club's determination to become a successful first-class county. We remain committed to retaining our best players and to challenge strongly in all forms of the game."
Allenby, who joined Glamorgan in 2009, has been in great form during the current campaign. He is the club's leading run-scorer in both the LV= County Championship and the Yorkshire Bank 40.
