Anderson moves top of England MVP

James Anderson has gone top of the England FTI Most Valuable Player table ahead of the last Natwest Series one-day international against New Zealand.
The Lancastrian took two of only three Black Caps wickets to fall at the Ageas Bowl before contributing 28 runs. In picking up another 16.18 ranking points, he replaces Stuart Broad at the head of the system which is run by the Professional Cricketers' Association.
Hot on his heels is Jonathan Trott, whose 109 runs off 104 balls accounted for almost 40 per cent of his team's reply to New Zealand's giant 359 and handed him 27.89 points.
Spinner Graeme Swann is next, with skipper Alastair Cook and Joe Root both locked on 62 points in fourth place after hitting centuries in the Investec Tests.
