Anderson replaces injured Elliott in NZ squad

New Zealand have called Corey Anderson into their Champions Trophy Squad as a replacement for injury victim Grant Elliott.

The Black Caps take on England in their final Group A game at Cardiff today, where Elliott yesterday aggravated an injury to his left calf during training.

The 34-year-old has not featured in New Zealand’s Champions Trophy campaign but played in the back-to-back victories over England that secured NatWest Series glory at Lord’s and the Ageas Bowl.

Anderson, a 22-year-old left-handed batsman, has represented his country in three Twenty20 internationals, where he has a top score of 12 in two innings.
