Danny Briggs has signed a two-year extension with Hampshire which will keep him at the Ageas Bowl until the end of the 2015 season.
The England spinner's previous deal was set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
“It is great to have signed,” said the 22-year-old dual limited-overs international. “We've been successful over the last few years and hopefully that continues in years to come.”
Manager Giles White added: "Danny is an important member of the squad and has been an integral part of the team's success in one day cricket. We hope that he continues to develop over the next couple of years."
Briggs progressed through Hampshire's junior and academy sides before becoming a regular in the senior side in all formats of the game.
He has also represented England at Under-19, Performance Squad and Lions level before making his full debut against Pakistan in 2012, in the process becoming the first Isle of Wight-born international.
