Derbyshire stutter in little play

Watch highlights of day one

Worcestershire had Derbyshire three for two following a badly rain-affected opening day of their LV= County Championship Division Two match at New Road.

No play was possible until 4.30pm due to the weather but, after winning the toss, Derbyshire might have been regretting their decision to bat.

Gareth Andrew bowled Billy Godleman for three in the third over before Charles Morris removed fellow opener Stephen Moore, a former Worcestershire player, for a duck in the next over.

Wayne Madsen was still to get off the mark when the rain returned to bring a premature end to the day's play.
