England face strong South Africa A T20 team

England will face a strong South Africa A team in their Twenty20 tour match at Boland Park next Wednesday.

Captained by Morne van Wyk, the party includes Proteas World Twenty20 members Farhaan Behardien, Aaron Phangiso and David Miller.

Wayne Parnell, who has played 85 times for his country, and Beuran Hendricks, with five Twenty20 international appearances to his name, have also been included after recovering from injuries.

Cricket South Africa selection committee convener Linda Zondi said: “This is a very important match for the players involved.

“Although our squad for the ICC tournament has already been announced, injuries are a fact of life and it is important that possible replacements are fit and in good form.”
