Falmouth have risen to the top of the Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League after Werrington suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of St Just.
St Just hit the big score of 312 for six with Neil Curnow making 123 and Gary Thomas 102. Werrington were all out for 199 with Shakil Ahmed taking 5-38.
Falmouth have taken over at the top, by seven points, after scraping home by just one wicket at Paul. The home side were 132 all out with Antony Angove taking 5-41. Falmouth made 135 for nine with Keiran Butler taking 7-58.
Grampound Road were shot out for 64 at home to Callington with Jim Shorten taking 5-36. Matt Robins incredibly, hit 63 not out of Callington’s reply of 67 for two.
Redruth have moved off the bottom after beating St Austell by 92 runs. Christian Purchase made 58 in Redruth’s 231 for eight. St Austell were bowled out for 139.
Camborne recovered to make 166 at Truro with Craig Johnson making 53 not out. Truro eased home by eight wickets with Tom Sharp 91 not out.
