Hales on the rise

Alex Hales has moved up to number two in the International Cricket Council's Twenty20 batting rankings.

The England opening batsman’s unbeaten 116, the country’s first ton in the shortest format, in the World Twenty20 victory over Sri Lanka helped him rise a spot.

Australia's Aaron Finch remains top of the list, with Virat Kohli of India close behind Hales, while Eoin Morgan is England's next highest in 21st place.

T20 skipper Stuart Broad is 22nd in the bowling rankings.
