Hampshire fined for Brathwaite inclusion

The ECB Cricket Discipline Commission announced today that Hampshire have been penalised for fielding an ineligible player in a Second XI match.

Hampshire played Ruel Brathwaite in a Second XI Championship match against Surrey on 28th–30th August whilst the player was still registered with Durham CCC. He has now been registered with Hampshire.

Under the summary procedure in the Cricket Discipline Commission Regulations, Hampshire have been deducted half the points they gained in the Second XI Championship match in which Ruel Brathwaite played and fined £250.

They have undertaken to ensure this breach of regulations is not repeated.
