The 2013 National Finals for Asda Kwik Cricket were played over three regional venues in the North, South and Midlands. Eighty teams from 40 county finals competed for the three titles in the Year 6 and Girls only competitions to be crowned national champions.
The North Finals took place at Headingley on July 12, with 12 teams in both the girls and Year 6 competitions from as far as Durham and Norfolk.
The honours in the Year 6 event went to Kirk Burton Middle School, playing on home soil, while neighbouring Derbyshire representatives Dale Primary School settled for second place.
In the girls competition, Dale Primary went one better than the boys to claim glory, with Upton Priory, returning finalists from 2012, taking the runners-up spot.
Warwickshire CCC hosted the Midlands Finals and, in the shadows of Edgbaston, William Austin Junior School (Bedfordshire) claimed first and second place in the Girls and Year 6 competitions respectively.
The Year 6 event was eventually won by Bengeo Primary School of Hertfordshire, while South-Wales representatives Glasllwch Primary finished second to a strong William Austin Junior School Girls team.
The South Finals were played at the Ageas Bowl, Hampshire on July 16.
The Year 6 competition was won by St Michaels CE Middle School (Dorset) and runners-up were the London Youth Games Winner Bryon Court Primary School (Middlesex).
Somerset produced the eventual Girls winners, St Stephens CE Primary School, while losing finalists were North Lancing Primary School (Sussex).
