Surrey have confirmed Jon Lewis will leave the Kia Oval by mutual consent at the end of the season.
The veteran seamer, who turned 38 last month, ended a 17-year association with Gloucestershire to join Surrey ahead of the 2012 campaign.
He has gone on to represent the club in 46 matches across all formats, claiming 59 wickets, but has found first-class opportunities limited this term.
Alec Stewart, who is overseeing first-team affairs at Surrey following Chris Adams’ departure, paid tribute to Lewis.
“Jon has been part of the Surrey staff since 2012 and in that time has been a model professional both on and off the field,” said Stewart.
“The club would like to thank Jon for his services and wish him the very best in the next stage of his career.”
