Hampshire Cricket has released more tickets for the opening day of England's Investec Test against India at the Ageas Bowl due to high demand.
In what is the venue’s biggest-ever match, the strong interest for day one - on July 27 - has prompted the club to release more tickets for purchase.
Hampshire Cricket commercial director Stuart Robertson said: “Demand for tickets on day one of the Investec Test match has been fantastic.
“And because of this, we have taken the decision to release additional seating to enable more people to have the chance to watch England take on what promises to be a very strong Indian team.
“There are tickets still available for days two, three and four, although we have been pleased with sales so far.
“Over the coming weeks, we will be unveiling some ambitious and exciting plans that will see the club reach out and engage with new audiences, as we look to build on our reputation as the Test match venue for the next generation.”
Tickets for the Test are priced from £45 for adults and £10 for under-16s. They can be purchased from www.eticketing.co.uk/ageasbowl or by calling 0844 844 1863.
