Nottinghamshire Outlaws will choose from an unchanged squad as they aim for some more home comforts in the NatWest T20 Blast North Group match with Birmingham Bears.
The Outlaws have lost two of their previous three outings at Trent Bridge, but comprehensively beat Derbyshire Falcons last week and director of cricket Mike Newell is keeping the faith.
He said: “Harry Gurney and Andy Carter haven’t played red-ball cricket this week which should be to their advantage on Friday and there are signs that Alex Hales and Michael Lumb are finding good form.”
The Bears could pick the same XI that beat Durham Jets last Friday with Shoaib Malik continuing after he made his debut in the north east while Will Porterfield will aim to carry on his good form.
* Jeetan Patel (5.2) and Ateeq Javid (5.5) have the lowest economy rate of any bowler delivering at least two overs in NatWest Blast 2014.
