Prasanna Jayawardene is to return home from Sri Lanka's tour of England after suffering a finger injury in the first Investec Test at Lord's.
Kithuruwan Vithanage will take the place of the wicketkeeper-batsman, with the left-hand batsman due to arrive in time for the second Test at Headingley.
The news was announced on Sri Lanka Cricket's Twitter feed during the final afternoon of the Lord's clash.

With Vithanage not being a wicketkeeper, the gloves are likely to be taken by either Dinesh Chandimal or Kumar Sangakkara for the second Test.
