Rain ensures Second XI Championship is shared

More than three days of rain meant Middlesex and Lancashire shared the honours in the Second XI Championship final at Radlett.

The only play possible was today, on the fourth morning, as Lancashire reached 113 for two after being put into bat.

Openers Steven Croft and Haseem Habeed each contributed 28 before respectively falling to Gurjit Sandhu and Josh Davey.

Jordan Clark top-scored with 43 and was unbeaten alongside Gareth Cross on seven.

However, rain returned at lunch to prevent any further play, making Lancashire joint champions following their Second XI Trophy success earlier this month.
