Kent’s LV= County Championship Division Two clash with Worcestershire at Tunbridge Wells looks destined for a draw after only three overs were possible on day three due to persistent rain.

Only 14.1 overs were bowled yesterday and play did not start until 3.45pm today. 

During the action possible, second-placed Worcestershire moved their total from 48 without loss to 67 for none.

Captain Daryl Mitchell, unbeaten on 33, hit the first two balls of the day off Robbie Joseph to the boundary to bring up 700 championship runs for the season in just his ninth innings.

At the other end, Matt Pardoe moved his score onto 30 with a pair of fours of his own.
