Worcestershire Rapids will be aiming to make it seven NatWest T20 Blast wins on the bounce when they host Nottinghamshire Outlaws at New Road on Friday.
The Rapids' campaign got off to a worrying start with two consecutive defeats but they have hit back in stunning style and head into the weekend's action sat top of the North Group by virtue of a superior run-rate.
Worcestershire's six-match winning run began at Trent Bridge, a match which saw seamer Chris Russell make his first appearance of the season.
Russell has played a key role in the Rapids' revival, with his 16 wickets a competition best.
The Rapids attack, which includes the mercurial Saeed Ajmal, will need to be at their best to combat a strong Nottinghamshire batting line-up featuring Alex Hales and Riki Wessels.
Wessels hammered 95 off only 51 balls in his side's victory over Derbyshire last time out and his battle with Daryl Mitchell will be worth keeping an eye on.
New Zealand all-rounder James Franklin will make his debut tomorrow and will be out to make an immediate impact as the Outlaws look to consolidate their top-four place.
* Worcestershire Rapids' win this season was their first Twenty20 victory against Nottinghamshire Outlaws in five attempts.
