Hampshire have boosted their hopes of reaching a fifth successive NatWest T20 Blast finals day by signing Australian fast bowler Nathan Rimmington as cover for the departing Kyle Abbott.
The 31-year-old joins on a match-by-match basis and is in contention for his debut in Friday's match against Middlesex Panthers at the Ageas Bowl.

Rimmington represented the Melbourne Renegades in the latest edition of the Australian Big Bash and has played a total of 51 T20 matches, taking 60 wickets with an economy rate of 7.36.
Hampshire, sat second in the South Group, moved to bring in another overseas player as Abbott prepares to join up with South Africa's Test squad ahead of their series in Sri Lanka. He is scheduled to return later in the summer.
