Roy, Harinath and Rutherford penalised under ECB Discipline Code

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) today confirmed that Jason Roy, Arun Harinath and Hamish Rutherford have received penalties under the ECB's discipline code.  

During Surrey's Friends Life t20 match against Middlesex on 5th July 2013, Roy was reported by umpires Richard Kettleborough and Peter Willey for a Level 1 breach of the code (showing dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action).

During Surrey's Second XI Championship match against Middlesex on 3rd - 5th July 2013, Harinath was reported by umpires Mark Eggleston and Trevor Cox for a Level 1 breach of the code (showing dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action).

During Essex's Friends Life t20 match against Kent on 8th July 2013, Rutherford was reported by umpires Peter Willey and Peter Hartley for a Level 1 breach of the code (showing dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action).

The penalty for these offences is a reprimand. These penalties will remain on their records for a period of two years and the accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any two year period will result in an automatic suspension.
