Super 4s trio finish with victory each

Sapphires, Emeralds and Rubies finished with one win apiece after the final weekend of the 2013 Super 4s competition.

Following June 8 victories for Emeralds over Sapphires by six wickets and Rubies against Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket Board U15s by 88 runs, the June 15 schedule at the National Cricket Centre at Loughborough was hit by the weather.

Rubies won the toss and decided to put Emeralds in to bat, Heather Knight's side making 175 all out from their 45 overs before the match had to be abandoned.

Skipper Knight top-scored with 73 before being run out by Jenny Gunn, Natalie Sciver adding 30 in a fifth-wicket partnership of 60 between the pair; while Sarah Taylor made 25 and Anya Shrubsole 20. The latter was one of Georgia Elwiss' three victims, as she took 3-25 in her 10 overs.

The other match saw Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket Board U15s put in and make 158 all out, Katie Cross taking 4-30 in her 9.4 overs.

The match was reduced to 32 overs due to rain, and with skipper Charlotte Edwards hitting 67 from 79 balls the revised target of 129 was passed in 29.1 overs, Suzie Rowe finishing 35 not out.

The June 8 match highlights saw Sciver and Arran Brindle each hit 66 as Emeralds chased down Sapphires' 184 for the loss of four wickets, while Amy Jones cracked 120 not out from 144 balls with 11 fours as Rubies clocked up 248 for five in 50 overs versus Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket Board U15s, who mustered 160 for nine in reply - Gwenan Mai Davies taking 3-34.
