Surrey have today announced that Jason Roy and Zafar Ansari have both penned new two-year deals with the county.
The pair will now remain at the Kia Oval until the end of the 2015 campaign.
Twenty-three-year-old Durban-born batsman Roy, who is spending the winter playing Sydney Grade Cricket under the guidance of former Australia international Michael Bevan, finished the 2013 season as Surrey’s highest run scorer in both List A cricket - notching 432 runs at an average if 43.2 in 12 matches - and in T20s - returning 290 at 22.3 from 13 outings.
Left-arm spinner Ansari, 21, took 28 wickets across all formats during the year, taking a career-best List A-return of 4-42 against the Scottish Saltires in August, beating his previous record of 4-46 which he took against Hampshire Royals in May.
Both will be looking to make an impact in the LV= County Championship games during the next campaign as Surrey aim to bounce back to Division One at the first time of asking.
