Worcestershire’s England Development Programme duo Ed Barnard and Joe Clarke have signed contracts for the 2015 season.
All-rounder Barnard and wicketkeeper-batsman Clarke received international call-ups for this winter and will serve their county on summer scholarships during 2014 before reverting to full contracts for the following campaign.
In January, Barnard struck an unbeaten 114 on debut to inspire England Under-19s to a first Test over South Africa in Newlands and earned the man-of-the-match award.
Clarke is also an England centurion, having recently reached three figures against Sri Lanka for the Under-17s.
Worcestershire director of cricket Steve Rhodes said: "Both Ed and Joe have tremendous potential to make a big impact here at New Road.
“We can proudly say they are products of our academy system and are presently experiencing an England Under-19s batting camp in Sri Lanka.
“I am aware the England age group coaches also hold them both in high regard and they have bright futures ahead of them."
Meanwhile, Worcestershire wicketkeeper Ben Cox has signed a one-year contract extension for the 2014 season.
