Worcestershire have opted to release Michael Johnson and Aneesh Kapil at the end of the season.
Australian wicketkeeper Johnson, 25, arrived at New Road in January and has appeared in 10 LV= County Championship and six Yorkshire Bank 40 games, making little impact with the bat.
Former England Under-19 international Kapil, 20, a seam-bowling all-rounder who made his senior debut in 2011, has played in all forms but without the desired results.
Director of cricket Steve Rhodes said: "Releasing players from contract is always a difficult time and parting company with Aneesh and Michael is no different. We wish both of them well for the future."
