England have been drawn alongside Sri Lanka, South Africa and New Zealand in Super 10 Group One for the 2014 World Twenty20 in Bangladesh.
They will be joined by a side from the preliminary four-team round-robin group in which Zimbabwe are to be joined by three of the successful nations from the tournament’s qualifying competition in the UAE next month.
All of the Super 10 fixtures featuring Stuart Broad’s men are slated to take place in Chittagong, starting with an evening match against the Black Caps on Saturday, March 22.
England then wait five days to meet Sri Lanka and take on the Proteas a week on from their tournament bow before rounding off the phase versus the group’s qualifier.
West Indies, India, Pakistan, Australia and a qualifier from the preliminary group featuring hosts Bangladesh make up Super 10 Group Two and the top two teams from each section will progress to the semi-finals of the expanded 16 team event.
The Women’s World Twenty20 will once again run alongside the men’s equivalent and England are placed in Group B with West Indies, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Charlotte Edwards’ team begin their pursuit of a top-two place and a semi-final berth against the Windies on Monday, March 24 in Sylhet, where they will play a game every other day to complete the round-robin versus Sri Lanka on March 30.
The semi-finals and finals of both competitions will be played in Mirpur on April 3, 4 and 6.
