YB40, May 27: As it happened

7:32pm - That rounds off the action for today. Tomorrow, we will bring you live text coverage of the LV= County Championship games starting at Taunton and New Road and, of course, keep you up to speed with the final day of the second Investec Test at Headingley.

7:30pm - RESULT! Surrey (237/5) beat Scottish Saltires (223/8) by 14 runs at The Grange: Lewis holds his nerve to earn the away side victory. Haq returned to the middle in an effort to see the Saltires over the finish line but there were to be no late heroics.

7:25pm - Jade Dernbach has bowled MacLeod for 59. Scotland need 20 runs from the final over. Exciting stuff!

7:24pm - RESULT! Northants Steelbacks (229/9) beat Warwickshire Bears (193 all out) by 36 runs at Wantage Road: An impressive bowling performance, led by Crook’s five-wicket haul, sees the hosts to their second victory in as many days.

7:21pm - RESULT! Leicestershire Foxes (256/4) beat Unicorns (253/8) by six wickets at Wormsley: Cobb and Thakor see their side to victory after a perfectly-paced run-chase. Cobb follows up yesterday’s 130 with an unbeaten 128 from 108 balls and Thakor finishes with 63 from 53 deliveries.

A breezy six-ball 15 from Gordon Goudie ended after he succumbed to Jon Lewis. The Saltires need an unlikely 32 from two overs.

7:11pm - RESULT! Durham Dynamos (273/6 from 40 overs) beat Derbyshire Falcons (70/3 from 16 overs) by 43 runs on the Duckworth/Lewis method: The rain has returned to the Emirates Durham ICG ensuring the hosts claim the points.

In the final few overs at The Grange, MacLeod has passed 50 but Majid Haq, who made 30 from 39, has retired hurt.

Leicestershire need 13 from 12 balls...

@NorthantsCCC on Twitter: Well played 5-30 vs. Warks! superb bowling

@derbyshireccc on Twitter: Play will resume shortly. There will be 8 further overs remaining with Derbyshire requiring a further 116 runs to win.

7:03pm - RESULT! Middlesex Panthers (237/4) beat Yorkshire Vikings (236/8) by six wickets at Radlett: Rossington finishes the innings on 79 not out from 72 balls as the hosts romp home with more than four overs to spare.

Thakor has a half-century as the Foxes’ run-chase reaches its conclusion and the Steelbacks need just one more wicket for their win.

@DurhamCricket on Twitter: Still no play here, covers are on. It is only very very light rain but enough to halt play.

6:49pm - Northants may well have dealt the decisive blow as Clarke goes for 65. Crook then claims the Steelbacks' seventh wicket to really turn the screw.

Cobb is guiding his team home, bringing up his second hundred in as many days while Shiv Thakor plays a faultless supporting role.

6:41pm - Tim Bresnan has dismissed Malan, caught behind for 96, but it’s too little too late for the Vikings. Middlesex need 36 from 10 overs as Neil Dexter joins Rossington in the middle.

It’s going to be a cracking finish at Wormsley where Leicestershire need 75 from 56 balls. Despite the loss of Matthew Boyce for eight, Cobb remains unflustered on 85.

6:30pm - RESULT! Kent Spitfires (250/2) beat Netherlands (249/5) by eight wickets at Tunbridge Wells: Two leg byes give the home side their win but it is an unbeaten 144 from 121 deliveries from Key that has eased the Spitfires to victory with 26 balls to spare.

Matthew Spriegel has removed Maddy for four to put the Steelbacks firmly on top and Rossington has a fifty.

6:23pm - A steepling required run-rate has told for the Saltires as Iqbal is run out for 11. Michael Leask is then bowled by Gary Keedy in the next over and it looks as though Surrey are going to wrap this one up.

Still no sign of a return to action at the Emirates Durham ICG but, at Radlett, Malan has upped the tempo to put the Panthers firmly in the driving seat with a hundred parternship for the fourth wicket with Adam Rossington.

6:16pm - The match at Wantage Road is certainly in the balance, but the game may have swung in the hosts’ favour with Will Porterfield gone for 47. The Bears’ hopes now rest on Rikki Clarke, who is unbeaten after reaching a fifty, and Darren Maddy.

Calum MacLeod and Moneeb Iqbal are going to need to take the handbrake off soon if Scotland are to steal a win at The Grange.

Elsewhere, Nash has fallen to Michael Swart for 57.

@Middlesex_CCC on Twitter: Busted!! ;) RT : Spotted - three bowlers queuing up for an ice cream...

6:10pm - Brendan Nash is offering able support to Key, passing 50 from just 33 deliveries. The Tunbridge Wells crowd are being treated to a wonderful batting performance from the Spitfires.

Aneurin Norman has claimed Joe Burns’ wicket to leave the Foxes in a bit of trouble at Wormsley while Dawid Malan has a half-century as Middlesex chip away at their 237-run victory target.

@durhamcricket on Twitter: Players off the ground as a shower passes through, doesn't look too heavy but enough to send players off.

5:55pm - Key completes his seventh List A century. Can he pass his career-best 120?

Scotland are now in real trouble at 83 for four, following the loss of Preston Mommsen.

Onions gets his third Derbyshire scalp, removing Paul Borrington for 32.

5:47pm - Leicestershire's other centurion yesterday, Greg Smith, has made just 14 before falling to Luke Beaven.

5:40pm - Cobb's fifty came off Devon Endersby. That is now 181 runs in two days. And counting...

@leicsccc on Twitter: UPDATE: Foxes 91-1 after 13. Cobb dropped, almost run out then posts a 43-ball 50

5:34pm - Eoin Morgan fails on his return to county duty falling lbw to Adil Rashid first ball. Not the return he was looking for.

Scotland have lost a second wicket against Surrey. Chris Tremlett gets his first scalp, dismissing Freddie Coleman for 32.

5:30pm - Onions strikes again removing Shivnarine Chanderpaul for 11. Could that be the key wicket?

5:26pm - Leicestershire have lost their first wicket, Niall O'Brien the man to go for 24. Meanwhile, Josh Cobb continues his fine form, he is just 12 away from a half-century.

Kent have lost Northeast for 35, but Key remains at the crease unbeaten on 81.

5:18pm -  Kent's opening pair take their team into three figures. Key is unbeaten on 73 and Northeast is on 32. They are making light work of the Netherlands target up to this point.

5:11pm - Scotland have made a stuttering start; they are 23 for one from eight overs after Matthew Cross fell to Jon Lewis.

Warwickshire have lost a third wicket against Northants. Tim Ambrose is run out for nought, having faced only two deliveries.

5:04pm - Rob Key has passed 50 with back-to-back boundaries off the bowling of Ahsan Malik. The opening partnership with Sam Northeast is now worth 77.

4:57pm - Having made 40 from 29 balls with the bat, Steven Crook has now struck twice in his first over to reduce Warwickshire to seven for two. Varun Chopra and Jim Troughton are the men dismissed.

Graham Onions has given Durham the perfect start in their defence of 273, dismissing Chesney Hughes for just eight.

4:55pm - The players are back out at Wormsley, where Leicestershire require 254 for victory against Unicorns.

Kent have made a flying start to their run-chase. They are 49 without loss from just seven overs.

@Durhamcricket on Twitter: Brief shower over the ground has meant we have lost an over. New target, 270 off 39 overs. Play to get underway again shortly.

@Yorkshireccc on Twitter: OUT - Wonderful yorker from Wardlaw and Stirling is clean bowled. 2 stumps out of the ground. Middlesex 0 for 1

4:45pm - Kent are under way in their pursuit of 250 for victory against Netherlands. They are currently 19 without loss.

They are also back out in the middle at Edinburgh, where Scotland are chasing 238 for victory against Surrey.

@derbyshireccc on Twitter: We will have a slight delay in proceedings due to rain. Play will resume as soon as it stops. Derbyshire chasing 274 for victory

4:35pm - No more wides from Williams in his final over, which yielded eight runs and a wicket from the last ball as Devon Endersby was run out.

The Unicorns finish on 253 for eight. Here are all the half-time scores from around the grounds:

The Unicorns were invited to bat by Leicestershire Foxes at Wormsley and made 253 for eight.

4:31pm - Chris Wright finished with three wickets for the Bears as Northants stumbled through the closing overs.

Rashid will also be receiving thanks from his team-mates after making 46 from 36 balls to give the Vikings a much-needed late boost.

Williams has the ball back in his hand for the final over of Unicorns’ innings...

4:25pm - Tom Jewell was snared for 11 in Surrey’s final over but Solanki was able to carry his bat, ending the innings unbeaten on 109. There were six fours and four sixes in the right-hander’s knock which proved to be the lynchpin of the visitors’ efforts.

Robbie Williams’ radar seems to be playing up at Wormsley where the Leicestershire quick has bowled five wides in an 11-ball over to give Unicorns some free runs in the latter stages.

4:15pm - A triple breakthrough for the Bears at Wantage Road has slowed the home side’s late momentum while some hefty blows from Dom Michael helped the Australian left-hander to his second fifty in as many days and Netherlands to 249 for five from 40 overs.

Garry Park is also acknowledging the applause after reaching a half-century but Vishal Tripathi and Keith Parsons have fallen for the Unicorns as Leicestershire pick up a couple of important late wickets.

Durham finish on 273 for six against Derbyshire, thanks in part to Gordon Muchall who ended on 57 not out.

@surreycricket on Twitter: Solanki brings up his first 100 for Surrey with a six

4:05pm - Footitt has his third wicket, with Collingwood his victim this time round. The Durham middle-order batsman made a sprightly 79 from 83, featuring seven fours and a six, before being trapped lbw.

Yorkshire continue to struggle in the closing stages at Radlett with Hodd and Tim Bresnan both back in the changing rooms. The hosts have certainly dominated proceedings in the last quarter of the innings.

Saltires seamer Goudie has prised out Gary Wilson for 23 with Solanki needing a further eight runs for a hundred.

@durhamcricket on Twitter: 3 fours in a row from who has moved to 30* off 19 balls. 75* Durham 217-4 with 5.2 overs to go.

3:50pm - The Steelbacks are tearing into the Warwickshire attack at Wantage Road, plundering 38 runs from two overs! After captain Alex Wakely was bowled by Jeetan Patel for 35, Matthew Spriegel and Steven Crook broke the shackles in style.

We’re heading into the final 10 overs of the first innings in all six of our games, but the Netherlands will be made to go on without Daan van Bunge who has departed for 28.

Zander de Bruyn is also trudging back to the pavilion at The Grange after Gordon Goudie broke through his defences.

3:38pm - James Harris has ousted Jaques for 81 to claim his second wicket in four balls! After looking nicely set on 153 for three, the Panthers’ double strike leaves the visitors wobbling with Adil Rashid and Andy Hodd the men tasked with stabilising the Yorkshire innings.

Leicestershire have picked up the important wicket of Lancefield. Taylor is the man celebrating for the second time after a successful lbw appeal.

Collingwood’s partner Ben Stokes struck 40 from as many deliveries but has now holed out to Peter Burgoyne off Mark Footitt.

3:30pm - Cooper brought up a 58-ball half-century for the Netherlands before edging through to Geraint Jones to give James Tredwell his first wicket of the afternoon.

3:19pm - Unicorns pair Tom Lancefield and Michael O’Shea added 82 for the second wicket at Wormsley before the latter was run out for 32. Shrugging off the loss of his partner, Lancefield reached 50 the next over as the away side looked to maintain their good pace.

Another healthy partnership has come to an end at Tunbridge Wells where Dutch wicketkeeper Barresi has departed for 69, bowled by Adam Riley. Barresi put on 95 with Cooper for the third wicket.

@derbyshireccc on Twitter: Dropped. Godleman unfortunately slips while attempting to catch Stokes (16*) and drops the chance; Durham 128-3 (24 overs) Collingwood 42*

3:03pm - Yorkshire lose a third wicket against Middlesex. Gary Ballance is dismissed for 40 by Gareth Berg, ending an 85-run partnership with Phil Jaques.

That means every batting side has now lost a wicket. No bank holiday joy for the batsmen at the minute.

2:16pm - Derbyshire strike again, Mark Turner bowling Phil Mustard for a breezy 15.

2:11pm - The curse of the commentator strikes as Netherlands lose a second wicket. Stephan Myburgh has been dismissed by Calum Haggett.
