Headingley has been hosting Test cricket since 1899 and in 2015 the ground will celebrate its 125th anniversary. This summer England have recorded a Test series victory over India and the Yorkshire pairing of Gary Ballance and Joe Root have been pivotal in the national team’s success.

Tickets for the second Test of the summer against New Zealand at Headingley go on sale on Wednesday 20 August

Under the captaincy of Alastair Cook, England will be looking to win at Headingley and see progression as they aim to once again become the world’s top-rated Test nation.

New Zealand, featuring Yorkshire batsman Kane Williamson, are hitting form at the right time and will offer England a stern test. More recently, they travelled to the West Indies and recorded their first away Test series win for 12 years with Williamson winning the Man of the Series award.

Mark Arthur, YCCC’s Chief Executive, said:

“International cricket is the lifeblood of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

“We believe that our pricing policy for Test Matches is the best value in the country and with the new incentives we are introducing for next year watching England has become affordable and accessible.

“We are delighted to be offering children’s tickets from as little as £5 and our entry price level for adults is only £15. Moreover, we have listened to spectators and the majority suggested that booking fees are a barrier. For that reason, we have abolished all booking and processing fees, which will be a positive.

“The region’s support will be vital in helping us achieve our long term ambition of establishing our home as a venue of choice for the ECB.”
