Derbyshire have moved their Friends Provident t20 game against Notts due to a clash with England's FIFA World Cup campaign
Derbyshire Falcons have taken the decision to reschedule their home Friends Provident t20 fixture against Nottinghamshire Outlaws due to a clash caused by the FIFA World Cup draw.
The clash, to be held at the County Ground, will now take place on Thursday 17 June at 7pm, 24 hours earlier than the originally scheduled fixture in order to avoid clashing with the second match of England’s World Cup campaign.
Derbyshire Chief Executive Keith Loring said: “Rescheduling the fixture is the best answer to ensure that we look after our members and can attract the best possible crowd for what is traditionally an extremely popular fixture.
“Playing such a big game at the same time as an England World Cup fixture would be disrespectful to the players of both teams and we are grateful to Nottinghamshire for their cooperation in switching the fixture.”
