Derbyshire secure Johnson loan
Derbyshire have signed Warwickshire wicketkeeper Richard Johnson on loan for the rest of the 2012 season.

Following a stint with Derbyshire last month, Richard Johnson has returned to the County Ground for the remainder of this season
The 23-year-old enjoyed a short spell at Derby last month as cover for the injured Tom Poynton and, despite being recalled by his parent county following an injury to Tim Ambrose last week, Johnson has since been granted permission to return for the remainder of the campaign.
After starring with a Clydesdale Bank 40 match-winning 79 in the final appearance for Derbyshire against Yorkshire, Johnson scored 49 for Warwickshire in their LV= County Championship draw with Surrey which concluded on Monday.
“The signing of Richard increases our strength in depth in a key position for this decisive period of the season,” head coach Karl Krikken said.
“It will allow Poynton the opportunity to fully recover from his injury and to regain match fitness before competing for a place in the first team once again.
Johnson is available for selection for the championship fixture with Kent, which starts tomorrow.
