Park departs Derbyshire
All-rounder Garry Park has left Derbyshire with immediate effect after the county revealed he would not be offered a new contract at the end of this season.
Park, 29, joined in 2008 from Durham and made an instant impact by amassing 1,000 first-class runs in his maiden season.
He has not featured in the LV= County Championship this term, but averaged just over 42 during his time with Derbyshire.
He failed to score in what turned out to be his last innings on Sunday, yet he did take a wicket during his only over in a 34-run victory versus the Unicorns in the Clydesdale Bank 40.
Derbyshire head coach Karl Krikken said: “I would personally like to thank Garry for his service and commitment to Derbyshire County Cricket Club since his arrival in 2008.
“Garry has always given 100% to the cause and has been a popular member of the playing staff.
“It goes without saying that everybody connected with the club wishes him all the very best in his future pursuits.”
