Warwickshire are set to make at least two changes for the visit of Derbyshire to Edgbaston in Division Two of the LV County Championship.
Opener Navdeep Poonia and medium pacer James Anyon, who both played in the draw with Essex, have been named in the second XI squad.
Test wicketkeeper Tim Ambrose returns to the side following his England duties although his deputy Tony Frost is set to play as a specialist batsman.
Director of cricket Ashley Giles is expected to recall left-arm finger spinner Ant Botha to play alongside leg-spinner Ian Salisbury.
Dan Redfern is set to make his first LV County Championship appearance of the season for Derbyshire.
The 18-year-old left-hander has made four appearances in limited-overs cricket during the current campaign and he starred with an unbeaten 57 from 56 balls in the recent tied NatWest Pro40 match against Yorkshire Carnegie.
Redfern, who has also been a regular in the England Under-19 side this season and scored 151 against New Zealand at Taunton a month ago, is likely to be joined in the Derbyshire top-order by fellow academy graduate Paul Borrington who is in line for his sixth appearance of the campaign.
Tom New plays the final match of his month’s loan from Leicestershire while Tom Lungley is currently involved in a second team match against Northamptonshire at Derby in a bid to prove his fitness following a long absence with toe and side injuries.
