Durham and Steve Harmison regret any embarrassment caused by the player's comments on Matthew Hoggard's release

Durham CCC has received a complaint from Yorkshire CCC regarding opinions expressed in the national media by Stephen Harmison relating to the release of Matthew Hoggard by Yorkshire CCC.

Both Durham CCC and Stephen Harmison recognise that the latter may not have been in possession of the full facts relating to this issue which is largely a matter for Yorkshire CCC and Matthew Hoggard and that his comments could be detrimental to the reputation of Yorkshire CCC.
