Ravi Bopara, currently enjoying a Bangladesh Premier League stint, has agreed to join Dolphins for their Twenty20 competition
The Essex batsman will enjoy his second stint at Kingsmead having previously played for Dolphins in 2010-11 season.
When Bopara lines up for the club will be determined by how successful his Bangladesh Premier League side, Chittagong Kings, are in the ongoing competition.
Dolphins are hoping he will be available for their first game against Titans on February 15.
“I am delighted to be joining up with the Dolphins,” said Bopara. “Having played out in South Africa before I know the cricket is of the highest standard. I will be doing everything to make sure the Dolphins have a great tournament.”
