Ten Doeschate and Shah commit to Essex
Ryan ten Doeschate and Owais Shah have signed contract extensions at Essex.
Netherlands all-rounder ten Doeschate has extended his deal by two years to keep him at Chelmsford until the conclusion of the 2014 campaign, while former England batsman Shah has prolonged his stay at the club until the end of this season.
Both players will be at head coach Paul Grayson’s disposal after the Indian Premier League finishes in May.
On ten Doeschate, Grayson said: "I'm delighted he committed to the club and has been a brilliant player over the seven or eight years he has been here and I'm looking forward to him contributing to the team in the next few years.”

He added: "I am very pleased that Owais has signed for a year as he's a high quality player who will give us great experience when he returns from the IPL tournament."
Ten Doeschate said: "I'm really happy to have signed a new contract at the club. I've always wanted to play cricket at the county and I'm hungry to do well at Essex, starting this season.
“I have been quiet recently and I now feel I am in a position to do well for the club and looking forward to helping the club to success this season."
