Essex chief heads to Middle East

Essex have announced that David East is to stand down as chief executive at Chelmsford.

East, who has been associated with the club as a player and administrator since 1981, will take on the same role with Abu Dhabi Cricket Club and Emirates Cricket Board.

Essex chairman Nigel Hilliard said: “David leaves the role after 12 years in the position and everyone associated with the club would like to wish him the best of luck in the United Arab Emirates.”
