Styris returns to Eagles nest

Scott Styris made a match-winning fifty against Sussex at Hove to help Essex progress in the Friends Provident t20
Scott Styris will rejoin Essex for next season’s Friends Provident t20 campaign, subject to approval from the New Zealand Cricket Board.
The 35-year-old this year helped the Eagles reach the competition’s knockout stages, although he was not able play in the quarter-final victory over Lancashire or on finals day due to international duty.
Next season Styris, who is still part of the Black Caps' limited-overs set-up, is set to be available to Essex for both match days should they get that far.
The all-rounder played a pivotal role in the Eagles’ FP t20 progress this year, scoring 392 runs at 35.64, including 24 sixes and 23 fours in 13 innings, and took 13 wickets at 31.38.
He produced match-winning displays against Surrey at Chelmsford, when he reached three figures from only 49 balls en route to 106 not out, and versus Sussex at Hove, when he smashed 52 from 26 deliveries.
