Cosker called up to MCC party

Glamorgan left-arm spinner Dean Cosker will join up with the MCC in Abu Dhabi

MCC have added Glamorgan left-arm spinner Dean Cosker to their squad to face Durham in the domestic season curtain-raiser at Abu Dhabi.

The 32-year-old will join the party, captained by Gloucestershire’s Alex Gidman, to face the LV= County Champions in a four-day game from March 29.

Whereas the game has traditionally been played at Lord’s, this year it will be held under lights at the Sheikh Zayed International Stadium with a pink ball.

Glamorgan director of cricket Matthew Maynard said: “I am delighted for Dean that he will play in such a prestigious game. It will be a fantastic experience for him.”
