Seamers Huw Waters and John Glover have signed new deals at Glamorgan until the end of the 2014 season.

Waters, who made his debut at the SWALEC Stadium in 2005, has impressed this term, taking career-best figures of 7-53 against Hampshire in the LV= County Championship.

Glamorgan’s head of elite performance Matthew Mott said: "Huw's had a fantastic season, especially after the frustrations of last year. He's consistently one of the better bowlers on the county circuit, a fantastic pro who is committed to Glamorgan, so this is a great boost for the club.”

Glover has pushed for a spot in the Glamorgan starting XI this season and also registered his best figures to date of 4-76, while his vital 21 off 17 balls led his side to a narrow championship victory over Northamptonshire.

Mott added: "John's emerged this year and bowled well consistently. He's got a great temperament and his match-winning score at Northampton showed off his all-round skills. Although he's still inexperienced, he seems to get better with every game he plays.

"The club continues to finalise its squad line up for the 2013 season, but securing these two players is a real boost for the team. We believe both Huw and John have a big part to play in our future."
