North injury threatens Glamorgan start

Western Australia captain Marcus North suffered the finger injury during the recent Sheffield Shield game versus New South Wales
Glamorgan’s overseas player for this season, Marcus North, has suffered a finger injury that is set to rule him out for the rest of the Australian summer.
The 32-year-old batsman, who damaged a digit on his right hand while fielding and has had surgery on injured tendons, said: "It's devastating not to have the opportunity to play the rest of the season.”
Whether Western Australia captain North’s injury limits his participation for Glamorgan remains to be seen, principally because he was already due to miss the first month of the season due to the birth of his second child.
North - who has played 21 Tests, two one-day internationals and one Twenty20 game for Australia - has signed to play for Glamorgan for the next two summers.
