Wharf given 2009 benefit
Glamorgan have awarded seamer Alex Wharf a benefit in 2009.
The Yorkshireman made his debut for Glamorgan in 2000 after moving from Nottinghamshire and has played more than 300 matches for the Welsh county.
After helping Glamorgan to one-day titles in 2002 and 2004 he played in 13 one-day internationals for England. Wharf has played over 300 matches for Glamorgan in nine seasons.
"I am naturally thrilled to have been awarded a benefit in 2009. Glamorgan has been a big part of my life for a long time and I'm proud to have been able to play for them,” said Wharf.
