Work has now begun on the new pavilion, media centre and members' facilities at Gloucestershire’s Bristol home.

The project also includes the development of 147 apartments, which are being created by Linden Homes as part of the long-awaited redevelopment of the County Ground. This will see it become a major centre in the community and for cricket both nationally and internationally.

Gloucestershire chairman Rex Body said: "The development by Linden Homes is an essential part of the club's future plans, which will be of benefit not only to the club, but to the city of Bristol and Gloucestershire.

The redevelopment of the County Ground will include a new pavilion, media centre, members' facilities and 147 apartments

“This will enable us to invest in our cricket development, enhance our spectator facilities and retain international cricket at the County Ground. We are delighted to be working with Linden Homes."

Managing director of Linden Homes Clive Wiltshire added: "This is such an important project for the city of Bristol and we're delighted to be part of it. The apartments will offer a truly unique living environment with views that will be the envy of cricket lovers around the world and also for those simply seeking a stylish home in the city."

The first homes will be available to view from late summer 2013 but those interested in the development can register now at lindenhomes.co.uk.
