Gloucs submit new ground plans
Gloucestershire have drawn up new planning applications for the redevelopment of the County Ground after their first proposal was rejected by Bristol City Council in January.
The main concern for the council's planning committee was the height of the redevelopment.
But the club have submitted new plans, which will help ensure the ground is up to current ECB standards, that show the proposed building reduced by one storey and extended at one side to ensure all 147 flats can still go ahead.
Chief executive Tom Richardson said: “The club is very keen to make the revised plans work. We have listened to our neighbours and responded to concerns raised by the planning committee and see the new proposal as the best possible compromise.
“It is very important to us that we hear what the local community and our neighbours think about our plans and are looking for feedback on the changes to help us finalise the proposals before submitting a new application.”
