Gloucestershire have revealed Sir Elton John will play a concert at the County Ground next summer.
The popular singer and musician, who has a career spanning more than four decades and boasts global record sales of over 250 million, will return to Bristol on Saturday 13 June 2009.
It will be his first show in the area since he performed at Ashton Gate, home of Bristol City Football Club, in 2004 which sold over 22,000 tickets.
He has staged many other hugely successful concerts in sports clubs around the country, and this Bristol event is his first UK summer 2009 date to be announced this year.
The outdoor concert will be staged within the existent facilities at the County Ground, with reserved seating on the field.
Tickets will go on public sale on Friday October 17 at 9am and can be purchased by phoning the Elton John 24-hour ticket hotlines below. Tickets will not be available for purchase direct from the county.
Tickets for this fully reserved seated event are priced at £80, £60 and £40 with a limited number of premium tickets.

The ‘Rocket man’ will perform over two hours of hits from an incredible back catalogue spanning over four decades.
