Gloucestershire hit the airwaves

Gloucestershire fans will be able to keep a closer ear on their side this year after the club announced a commentary deal with BBC Radio Bristol.

The station will provide ball-by-ball coverage of all home one-day matches, encompassing the Friends Provident Trophy, Twenty20 Cup and NatWest Pro40.

Gloucestershire commercial manager Helen Richardson said: “We are striving to provide supporters with as much up-to-date information on the club and this is another key opportunity for us.

“We are grateful for BBC Radio Bristol’s help with this and hope those unable to make it to the games enjoy the commentary.”

Tim Pemberton, managing editor of BBC Radio Bristol, added: “With scores and match reports in our news and sports bulletins and ball-by-ball commentary of all the one-day games, we hope that we will capture a very successful season for the club.”
